Converting a Pool from Copper to PVC

Converting a Pool from Copper to PVC

In this week’s Turning Leak Detection Into Repair Work, we want to show you a big pool job we did. This is an older pool and ultimately, it will get refinished at a later date. The homeowner wanted to replace the copper plumbing and skimmer with PVC now. This included core drilling to install new return fittings, digging up concrete and soil to lay new pipes and installing a new equalizer line, among other things.

Take a look at how we replaced the skimmer behind a raised wall, prepared for and laid the new pipes, re-poured the deck and skimmer and replaced the lawn we removed to get the job done right.
